Pattern Room creates medical scrub patterns to help combat supply shortages in the face of COVID-19

Developed in conjunction with front line medical team members caring for COVID-19 positive patients Melbourne-based online pattern company, Pattern Room, has created medical scrub patterns that can be quickly and easily downloaded by relevant companies around the globe as they work to combat supply shortages that are leaving doctors, nurses and other hospital staff at-risk and vulnerable in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

Available in specific men and women's fits and with plenty of pockets for carrying necessary medical implements, the scrub patterns are designed to fit well while ensuring there are no restrictions to movement.

Ranging in size from XS-8XL for men and 6-28 for women, Pattern Room worked closely with frontline health workers in Australia to create a consistent fit that is comfortable, practical and, above all, protective.

Pattern Room will also be looking to develop PPE patterns in the coming weeks to expand its medical supply offering.

Pattern Room is an online commercial clothing pattern catalog revolutionising both the Australian and global fashion industries with its accessible, easy to use technology.

Located in Melbourne and launched in 2019 by highly experienced and respected industry leader, Julia Van Der Sommen, Pattern Room is the first business of its kind to offer thousands of commercial-use-ready, premium western sized patterns that can be downloaded in a variety of formats.

For over 20 years, Julia has been creating commercial clothes patterns as well as developing samples and manufacturing fashion lines. She is also an industry leader in ethical clothing within Australia and is accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.

Pattern Room is the sister-brand of Sample Room, a one-stop shop that provides support, knowledge, and advice in pattern making, sample making, grading, production preparation/specifications, consultation, training, education and support for new and established Australian apparel businesses.
